Boise Firefighters Local 149 operates with a unified, core value of selfless and dedicated service to our community. The Union is the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all Firefighters in the Boise Fire Department.
Our History
The Boise Firefighters Local 149 was established in 1918. The Union has proudly served the greater Boise community for over 100 years.
Boise Firefighters first served the community as volunteers in 1876. In 1902 the Boise City Council voted to transition to a Professional Fire Department.
